Where can LO’s get accurate data for Blocks 7 and 8 on the 2010 GFE? From SmartGFE of course! Recording fees appear to be in flux in several states including California and New Jersey. Calyx users can find timely data that ensures their GFE’s will meet the zero tolerance rules set forth in RESPA through the SmartGFE interface in Point®. Some services aggregate information based on actual closing data after it has been filed at county recording offices. With the SmartGFE service, Point users have instant access to up-to-the-minute (real-time) closing data for every jurisdiction in every state.

To access SmartGFE data, simply open a saved loan file in Point and click the ‘Interfaces’ link at the top of the screen. Select ‘Compliance’ in the dropdown menu, then select ‘SmartGFE’ and click ‘Okay.’ Next, click ‘Launch SmartGFE’ and you’ll be ready to select the data you need to auto-populate your loan files. If you don’t have a SmartGFE account, select the ‘Get Started’ button to fill out the simple forms. Otherwise, simply login to begin. It’s really that easy – get started today!
