Happy Labor Day!

BJ Bounds

Today is the last work day before a 3-day weekend celebrating Labor Day!

We’re going to be closed on Monday and I hope you are too.

The first Labor Day was held in 1882.  According to the US Department of Labor, “it constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.”

Does anybody else think it’s strange to create a holiday without work to celebrate hard work?

Regardless, I’m grateful for the day off.  It’s still too hot in Texas to cook out so we’re taking a trip to California.

What are you doing for Labor Day?  Anybody else braving airport security?
