Appraisal Acknowledgement Form Update

Jack HollidayThis form, also known as the Right to Receive Appraisal, has been updated with new language in Point® to meet compliance requirements.

If you have Point 9.0 SP1 or higher and have opened Point while connected to the Internet on or after January 22, 2014 the update should have been automatically installed and the form will be in your print menu. If the new form did not automatically install on your computer, you may take the following steps to install the new form:

  1. Click on “Help” in the top navigation
  2. Click “Check for Updates”
  3. Click “Update Interfaces…”
  4. Click “OK” when the Vendor List Update Screen pops up
  5. Close and re-open Point
  6. Check your print menu for the updated form

We will continue to work to keep you compliant. If you have additional questions, please contact us at: support@calyxsoftware.com or 800.342.2599 Option 1, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Hi there: We are running into a problem. Borrower Info screen’s Property type dropdown (Field ID 12524) should auto carry-over to Fannie Addendum -> Property type dropdown.

Problem: If a user fails or forgets to go to Fannie Addendum -> Property Type dropdown and manually match that difficult to find dropdown box with ID 12524, then DU findings will always be wrong.

Suggested Solution 1: Have ID: 12524 auto carry-over to Fannie Addendum Property Type.

    Solution 2:
If Point can assign a working Field ID to (Fannie Addendum – Property Type Dropdown) then I can create a rule that will fire a custom message to the user when ID: 12524 and that dropdown do not match.

    Solution 3:
The way Point is currently configured: Fannie Mae Addendum -> Property Type dropdown is auto defaulted by Point to ‘Detached’ when a new file is created.
Therefore, If Point can make this field blank by default, then the user MUST go in to correct the filed before running DU (or DU will not run)…. The problem is that field is auto defaulted to ‘Detached’ and if the property is a Condo, the user will get incorrect findings if he does not manually go to that hidden page and correct.

Either of the above solutions will save us from wrong DU findings when user fails or forgets to manually match this hard to find dropdown.

    Can you help?????
