Today Calyx welcomes the latest member of the Calyx Network: PointServ Instant Verifications.

 PointServ sources borrower financial documents including W-2s, bank statements, pay stubs, filed tax returns and assets instantly by using strict security practices certified by a SSAE-16 II audit. PointServ also offers innovative technologies to lenders, bankers and financial institutions to improve lending experiences.

New Service Providers in Point

jh headshot 2013Calyx Software hosts more than 200 vendors in Point, providing options to help you close more loans faster with greater accuracy. This month we have added two new interfaces.

GuardianDocs, a division of LenderLive Networks, has a new closing documents interface under the Services menu. This interface provides inbound and outbound mortgage document services. LenderLive Network has been providing services to the mortgage industry since 1987.

AAA Free Flood Certificates is now offering Flood Certifications under the Services menu. The AAA Free Flood Certificates interface allows you to order flood certificates anywhere in the US. Their business focuses on offering a simple, comprehensive flood service solution.

Vendors in Point allow you to exchange information safely and accurately, helping your workflow.


Appraisal Acknowledgement Form Update

Jack HollidayThis form, also known as the Right to Receive Appraisal, has been updated with new language in Point® to meet compliance requirements.

If you have Point 9.0 SP1 or higher and have opened Point while connected to the Internet on or after January 22, 2014 the update should have been automatically installed and the form will be in your print menu. If the new form did not automatically install on your computer, you may take the following steps to install the new form:

  1. Click on “Help” in the top navigation
  2. Click “Check for Updates”
  3. Click “Update Interfaces…”
  4. Click “OK” when the Vendor List Update Screen pops up
  5. Close and re-open Point
  6. Check your print menu for the updated form

Point 9.0 SP3 is Now Available

Jack HollidayPoint 9.0 SP3 contains an important update to the Update Status function in the Information Bar. When Updating Status from the Information Bar a number of status lines, including Custom Statuses, were being deleted from view in the Loan Progress window under the Track Menu > Status and Checklist sections. This problem can continue as long as you have any systems running on SP2. For additional information, please see KnowledgeBase article 0872, available here.

Calyx’s Point 9.0 SP2: Making Your Regulatory Compliance Easier

Jack HollidayAs compliance and regulatory requirements top everyone’s 2014 list of action items, Calyx has released Point® 9.0 SP2 to help your company work smarter and more efficiently. Our new Point 9.0 SP2 is now available to your MyCalyx Administrator. Point 9.0 SP2 highlights include:

  • Added a Homeownership Counseling Disclosure feature to help you comply with new HOEPA rules for Disclosure and Management of Home Ownership Counseling
  • Updated the following forms: 4506, 4506 T, W-9 and added the Social Security Number Verification screen used to complete the SSA-89 form
  • Added the QM Finding and the QM Date and Time fields to the Borrower Information screen
  • Changed the MI Factor field label on the Banker > Fees & Impounds screen to PMI/MIP/VA/USDA

Point 9.0 SP2 offers more features, functionality and updates to screens, forms and calculations to help you process loans quicker and more accurately while staying compliant (see release notes).
