Calyx is proud to offer free technical support to all of our current customers.  We don’t limit support to particular accounts or even to the number of users that can call from each account.  Free is free to all users of current accounts.  This applies to phone support, emails, online message boards, even our social media pages.   Support for our products is available at 800-342-2599 beginning at 8am through 7pm Central (depending on the product). Emails sent to support@calyxsoftware.com are answered during business hours as well.

If you’re on Point 9.0, you’re getting there. With the new “QM button” you can run a QM determination on your loans in seconds.

Help with Point: Reinstalling Point

Did you know the procedure for reinstalling Point recently changed?

Before the MyCalyx 1.4 update, a MyCalyx Administrator only needed to resend an email to the Point end user with instructions to follow the Installation Wizard to reinstall.

Since the MyCalyx 1.4 update, a Point user needing to reinstall Point receives a message “Point has installed successfully. A new version of Point will open” and when the user tries to open Point, nothing happens.

This is because prior to reinstalling Point, Point must be uninstalled from the computer and a new installation email needs to be resent from MyCalyx.

Help with Point: Freddie Mac FHA loans

Point 8.0 SP2 treats FHA loans submitted to Freddie Mac a little differently than before.  If you have attempted to submit an FHA loan and received this message:  “07 LP 41: You have requested automated underwriting with reference number which is not a valid request for an FHA total resubmission,” you will need to complete one more step before resubmitting.

For complete details, you can visit the Knowledge Base article, but here are the steps you’ll find:

To remove the credit reference number so that you can submit to Freddie Mac:

  • Open the Point file.
  • From the menu bar, select Interfaces > Freddie Mac > Addendum.
  • From the Merged Credit Reference Number (MCRN) section, remove the reference number next to the Borrower and Co-Borrower fields.
  • Resubmit the loan to Freddie Mac and then manually enter the credit reference number in the Freddie Mac site.

If you have an un-married co-borrower attached to your particular loan file, you’ll have to remove the credit reference number from that file as well.

Point 8.0 SP2 is here!

It’s time to update your Point® software!  Point 8.0 Service Pack 2 is now available for download at MyCalyx.com®.

SP2 has several compliance updates along with a updates and modifications to forms, interfaces and screens.  Administrators should push this update to users as soon as possible.

Here are just a few of the highlights you’ll find in this software update:

  • The Fees Worksheet block 2 has been updated with editable percentage or dollar amount fields and locked calculation fields that accurately reflect amount changes to the credit fields
  • Several HUD forms have been updated with mandatory changes
  • The Anti-Steering Disclosure has been updated to match the Good Faith Estimate
  • The CLTV has been updated to properly reflect when a second mortgage amount is added
